Northstone Builders Takes Home Prestigious Star Award

Association Recognizes Company as One of the Best in the Residential Construction Industry

October 11, 2007 – Houston-based Northstone Builders received a prestigious Star Award for Best Interior Entry/Foyer for a Home $500,000-$1 million at the Star Awards Gala at the Gaylord Texan Resort in Grapevine, Texas on Friday, September 28, 2007. The highly competitive awards program recognizes the best of the Southwest’s home building industry.

Entrants from Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana and New Mexico were eligible for the award program in 101 categories.

The award-winning interior entry was designed for Northstone’s recently completed home on Knippwood Lane in Bunker Hill Village, which features a 10-foot entry that opens to a dramatically vaulted two-story opening with a curved front stairway and balcony overlooking the living area. Hand-beveled hickory wood and large 18x18 travertine floor inserts enhance visual interest. Mahogany doors with beveled glass and raised panel wainscot on the walls and staircase, and double crown moulding throughout, show the detail-oriented features of the entry. A custom-designed forged-iron hand rail with gilded details and coordinating 15-light iron chandelier accentuate the space.

The Star Awards are presented by the Texas Association of Builders.
